The German company LYNX Technik AG, provider of modular interfaces is launching a new key feature for its APPolo Control System at NAB 2013 (booth N1120). The LYNX Technik APPolo Control System is a user-friendly, intuitive and self-configuring control system for remote control, status monitoring and SNMP error reporting.

The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that radio engineer Frank Foti (Foto) of the Telos Alliance and television technology innovator Jay Adrick of Harris Corporation have been named the 2013 recipients of the NAB Engineering Achievement Awards. In addition, an NAB Service to Broadcast Engineering award will be presented to Leonard J. Charles, director of engineering, Midwest, at Morgan Murphy Media. The recipients will be honored at the NAB Show Technology Luncheon, sponsored by Ustream, on Wednesday, April 10 in Las Vegas.

Grass Valley has added the LDX Flex studio camera system as an entry-level offering to its LDX Series of upgradable system cameras. The affordable LDX Flex, Grass Valley announced, delivers the same high-quality images and performance and supports the use of the same accessories as other cameras in the LDX Series for a single production format, but can be upgraded through the entire LDX range: LDX Première, LDX Elite, and LDX WorldCam as required.
