Harris Morris is appointed CEO of T3Media

Harris Morris, former Harris Broadcast CEO, is appointed CEO of T3Media, provider of content management, delivery and monetization services for media and entertainment companies. With his visions he should drive content owner success in the digital landscape.

Morris is a seasoned veteran of both the digital media and enterprise software solutions industries, with a breadth of senior-leadership experience in corporate and product strategy, market development, mergers and acquisitions, and driving operational excellence. His career spans multiple industry sectors including media and entertainment, education, data/analytics, enterprise software (on premise and cloud) and a number of technology-enabled consumer services.

“Harris Morris has transformed companies and has worked with leaders and disruptors in the digital media ecosystem. He brings vision, industry experience and leadership to T3Media,” said Robert Perille, Partner at Shamrock Capital Advisors and T3Media Chairman. “The rapid evolution of digital media, particularly video, has created both challenges and opportunities for content owners that make T3Media’s knowledge, technology expertise and infrastructure so critical to them. Under Harris’ leadership the company will become a resource to this community in helping to ensure that every content owner’s transition to digital is a successful and profitable one.”

Prior to joining T3 Media, Harris held several senior-leadership positions in the Broadcast Communications Division of the Harris Corporation, including three years as the President and then CEO of this $500+ million provider of technology solutions to create and manage video content and advertising for TV, out-of-home, and government markets. Before that, he was Chief Strategy Officer of Thomson Learning (now Cengage Learning), an educational content, learning and services company where he was instrumental in expanding its software, custom, and digital solutions businesses. He began his career and became a partner at Bain and Company, where he provided strategic counsel and deal support to senior executives in the media, technology, and telecomm sectors. Harris holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from the University of Virginia.

“I was impressed from the outset with the T3Media team’s deep knowledge of video in all of its forms, and ability to think creatively about the creation, management, application and maintenance of metadata,” said Morris. “As the amount of content and the means of accessing it have become vastly broader and richer, content creators are encountering both opportunities and challenges to their business models, distribution channels, intellectual property rights and brand value. T3 has a deep understanding of the digital landscape and the needs of the content-owner community. Couple that understanding with a DNA for listening to our customers, our deep technology knowledge cloud-based infrastructure; this affords us the opportunity to positively disrupt a marketplace currently characterized by people-intensive processes, legacy hardware and monolithic software.” (9/14)
