Most recently, Rosie Geyman was Head of Commercial Marketing at the Volvo Ocean Race, where she experienced incredibly ambitious and complex broadcasting delivering compelling, live multi-media content from racing boats from the middle of ocean in the most extreme conditions. The live content was delivered from drone to boat to satellite to race control and out to the world while boats were, at points, closer to the International Space Station than land. Sustainability was also at the heart of this race edition with the international award-winning #TurnTheTideOnPlastic global campaign embedded in all aspects of marketing, communications and event delivery. Previously, she was Head of Marketing and Communications at PLASA, the Professional Lighting and Sound Association. Rosie Geyman’s early career included senior marketing roles at Reed Exhibitions, UBM, Sports Media and Entertainment, and EMAP. “I look forward to immersing myself in this industry having had the incredible opportunity to see the award-winning capabilities of cutting edge broadcast technology at The Volvo Ocean Race,” said Rosie Geyman. “With a wealth of marketing and communications experience across the board including Associations, Sports properties and FTSE 100 companies I will endeavor to deliver first-class, customer-centric, digital-first marcomms campaigns.” “Rosie’s abundant energy and drive, alongside her considerable experience of creating fully integrated, engaging marketing campaigns, will be key to helping IABM move to the next level,” said Peter White, CEO at IABM. “Having also worked in a not-for-profit at PLASA, Rosie brings with her highly relevant knowledge of the role of trade associations, which will enable her to hit the ground running. Her passion for sustainability is also fully in tune with IABM’s – and the wider industry’s – initiatives to play a full role in addressing the climate emergency. I welcome Rosie to the IABM team and look forward to her making an immediate, positive impact.”
