Axon´s new control software

Axon is celebrating its 20th presence at IBC 2014 with the debut of Cerebrum, a new monitoring and control software (booth 10.A21/B21). This launch coincides with Cerebrum wins at OB company CTV.

Headquartered in The Netherlands, and with offices across the world, Axon develops, manufactures and markets high quality broadcast equipment for the conversion, processing and compliance recording of audio and video signals. According to a press release, the company will release its new software architecture Cerebrum (photo) at IBC 2014 in Amsterdam. 
The monitoring and control software delivers an customizable interface for a wide range of devices from different manufacturers - including routers, production switchers, servers, receiver decoders, multiviewers and waveform monitors - using either SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) or third party protocols.
At IBC Axon will launch some other solutions and products, including the loudness monitoring and logging option for the compliance recording/video air check product line TRACS. Axon will also intodruce a foldable flight pack for mobile live production applications and the signal processing product line Synapse, which is enhanced with a high-quality up/down/cross converter (GXG400).
The launch of new solutions at IBC coincides with Cerebrum wins at new businesses. The UK outside broadcasting (OB) company CTV recently launched their OB11 a 4K capable vehicle equipped with AXON's monitoring and control software Cerebrum and its signal processing equipment Synapse. The new truck commissioned to work on CTV’s recently renewed cricket contract with Sky Sports. It supports 28 cameras and can accommodate 34 production staff. (7/14)
