Ross Video powers beIN Sports Network

The beIN Sports Network in Qatar, a subsidiary of Al Jazeera, relies on products of Ross Video. Nine separate studios in the headquarters in Doha are equipped with the latest broadcasting technology. Most notably: robotics solutions.

Al Jazeera, the Middle East-based media group, set up in 2003 a dedicated sports network to televise international sporting events. In January 2014, the network was rebranded as beIN Sports and its reach was extended so that it now broadcasts to viewers in different countries worldwide in diverse languages. According to a press release, the broadcaster mainly uses solutions from Ross Video. In their headquarters in Doha, Qatar, Studio 9 for example features a full Furio robotic camera system with 13 cameras that was supplied and installed by regional systems integration specialist Tek Signals.

"Our studios have virtually no down time and we have carefully chosen to partner with manufacturers who we know offer a great blend of performance and reliability," Muhammad Saeed, Head of the Engineering Section at beIN Sports, comments.
David Dowling, Ross Director of Sales for EMEA, adds: "The Middle East is a very dynamic market and the growth of beIN Sports over the last couple of years has mirrored the energy and ambition of the region." Therefore, the Canadian company is expanding its presence in the Middle East and other regions worldwide. (3/14)
